John has served as president of the NC Credit Union League since October 2003. Prior to this, he served as president of the New Mexico CU League (NMCUL). In this role he was actively involved with legislative affairs on both the state and federal levels, worked to improve the quality and efficiency of the services offered by the NMCUL to its members and continued to advance the credit union movement on a national level. Radebaugh also held senior management positions as VP of association services and director of training & education for the Kansas Credit Union Assn. from 1993 to 2000. He is a retired first sergeant of the US Air Force and a graduate of Newman University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in business administration. Radebaugh is also a graduate of the League Management Institute as a certified league executive and is a graduate of the Advanced Leadership School in the US Air Force. He and his wife, DeAnn, have three grown children and two grandchildren.

Eric began his credit union career in 1993 as a business development consultant with Truliant FCU. After four years at Truliant, he joined the NC Credit Union League in 1997 as a business consultant. From 1998-2001, he served as assistant VP of the League's education/training department. From February 2002 through mid-December 2002, Eric was the director of human resources for Premier FCU in Greensboro. In December 2002, Eric rejoined the League as executive vice president. Eric is a 1993 graduate of Evangel College, with a double major in marketing and management. He and his wife Robin have two children.

Frances provides administrative support to the senior management, league staff and board of the League, increasing efficiency and productivity. Additionally, she is a key liaison between the League and its affiliated credit unions and associated organizations, serving as recording secretary for the foundation and shared branching service organizations. Frances also maintains the League information system, which includes all League staff and key credit union employees in North Carolina. Frances received a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, with a minor in computer science, from Appalachian State University and gained Certified Administrative Professional status from the International Association of Administrative Professionals in 2008. She left the workplace to raise her five children. In their spare time, Frances and her husband Ron enjoy horseback riding, dancing and camping and their combined fifteen grandchildren.

Geoff Finken joined the League in February 2012 as the Project/Staff Support Specialist. In this role, Geoff provides administrative support to the League staff, and coordinates special projects and initiatives which benefit the League and affiliated credit unions. Prior to joining the League, Geoff served for more than six years as the Administrator at Buies Creek First Baptist Church in Buies Creek. In addition to his role at the League, Geoff volunteers with the Lions Club, where he serves as the local chapter’s Secretary-Treasurer. He and his wife Becky live in Angier with their rescued dog Roger.

Andrea joined the League from FCCCU in 1998. Her primary responsibilities include processing payroll and generating various benefit reports on a semi-monthly basis for 90+ employees. Andrea also provides administrative support for the AVP of Human Resources. She says that human resources can be challenging at times, but that she enjoys working to meet those challenges – and witnessing positive outcomes. She graduated from NC A&T State University in 1997 with a BS Degree in Finance. A few months later, she married Corey Williams. Andrea and Corey have two children, Nokomis and Cameron.

Jeanne Couchois is the vice president of compliance and risk management for the North Carolina Credit Union League. Couchois, who joined the League in 2009, assists credit unions in addressing their compliance needs. In this position she analyzes state and federal laws, rules and regulations that affect credit unions. She also assists member credit unions with their compliance programs as well as conducting training sessions. Prior to joining the League Jeanne worked for the North Carolina State Employees’ Credit Union. In addition to 17 years of experience in credit union operations, she holds a law degree from Campbell University School of Law (1993).

Dana joined the League in 2011 as a Compliance Specialist. In this role, Dana serves as a primary point of contact for compliance inquiries, delivers compliance training to credit unions, and supports compliance projects at individual credit unions. Prior to joining the League, Dana was a Litigation Management Associate with Barclays Capital. A graduate of Wake Forest University School of Law, Dana also holds a BA in Communication Studies from UNC-Greensboro, as well as a minor in Sociology.

Dan joined the League in April of 1997 when he was hired as field director of North Carolinians for Credit Union Choice, the grassroots coalition organized by NC credit unions during their battle to pass the Credit Union Membership Access Act (HR 1151). Following the passage of HR 1151 in 1999, Dan was promoted to assistant vice president of governmental affairs at the League. In 2003, Dan was promoted to vice president of governmental/regulatory affairs. In his current role, Dan oversees the advocacy efforts of the League, including lobbying at the state and federal levels, directing grassroots and PAC activity and facilitating credit union participation in the political process. Dan grew up in Winston-Salem and graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1994 with a double major in political science and economics. Prior to joining the League, Dan worked for the NC Democratic Party and on the US Senate campaign of Charlie Sanders. He later moved to Washington, D.C. and worked for Congressman Elijah Cummings, a democrat from Baltimore. Dan resides in Raleigh with wife, Kinnan, and sons Wyatt and Charlie.

Jeff came to the League in February 2004 from Samaritan Ministries in Winston-Salem, where he served as development director for nearly three years. Prior to this position, he was a television meteorologist and reporter for 15 years, including five years in Wilmington and three years in Winston-Salem. Jeff’s job at the League includes promoting the work of the NC credit union industry in the media, informing member credit unions of industry news and events and promoting the benefits of League membership by communicating the many ways in which the League supports and partners with NC credit unions. An Air Force veteran, Jeff is an avid biker and runner who lives in Raleigh.

Lauren Whaley joined the League in April 2009 as its first director of legislative and regulatory affairs. In this role, Lauren serves as NCCUL’s lobbyist, managing state legislative matters at the North Carolina General Assembly. In addition, she monitors regulatory issues at the state and federal levels that impact North Carolina credit unions and conducts training sessions for member credit unions on such issues. She joined the League from Jennings public relations, branding and advertising agency in Chapel Hill, where she served as an account executive and crisis communication consultant. Previous to her experience at Jennings, Lauren handled marketing and public relations at Truliant Federal Credit Union in Winston-Salem. She is a Cum Laude graduate of NC State University with a B.S. in Business Management and minor in Psychology.

Pam joined the League in November 2011 as the Director of Political Affairs. She brings more than 16 years of governmental affairs experience to the table. Pam has extensive experience in the key roles of PAC fundraising and grassroots advocacy, including management of a 32-state political action committee. As part of her diverse role with the League, Pam will formulate strategy aimed at engaging credit unions and credit union advocates in various aspects of the political process. She also is tasked with helping to strengthen relationships with elected officials and candidates on the state and federal level. A Rocky Mount native, Pam graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill.

Cathy joined NCCUL in January 2004. She designs marketing materials for the League and credit unions, including logos, newsletters, magazines, brochures, annual reports and posters, among many other things. Cathy began studying fine art while living in Los Angeles, CA. After returning to North Carolina, she opened The Garden Place of High Point. She decided to close the business and study graphic design at Guilford Technical Community College, where she received her associate’s degree in graphic design/advertising in 2003. Cathy is also part of the adjunct faculty staff at GTCC where she teaches computer graphics. Cathy is a member of the Guilford County Horticulture Society, the High Point Arts Council, the Craftsmen Classic Guild, and the Piedmont Blues Federation. Her interests include photography, art, bicycling, walking and music. Cathy lives in Raleigh.

Lauren joined the League in 2011 as the Director of Professional Development. In this role, she develops and delivers professional development opportunities to NC credit unions, coordinates the League's Annual Meeting, and she also designs programs to meet the specific needs of credit union staff and volunteers. Lauren holds more than 20 years of experience in financial services and most recently worked at Sallie Mae. She has extensive experience in training, event and project management, and customer service and sales. Lauren is a member of the Association for Training & Development. When she is not hard at work, Lauren is an enthusiastic supporter of women's gymnastics, and belongs to the National Association for Womens Gymnastics Judges and the Women's USA Gymnastics.

Richard joined the League in 2003. His primary responsibilities include establishing new relationships and fostering existing relationships with member credit unions and various preferred business partners. He also assists credit unions in North Carolina with their current and future business processes. Richard is a decorated Gulf War veteran and was honorably discharged from the US Air Force. After leaving the military, he graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. Upon graduation Richard was employed by First Carolina Corporate Credit Union for eight years as a senior financial analyst. He also graduated from High Point University with a Masters in Business Administration. In his spare time, Richard volunteers for the Community in Schools program, the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA) and various other organizations. He is also an avid marathon runner.

Patricia M. English is AVP of the Audit Services Department of the League. Patty is a degreed Accountant from Mississippi. Before joining the League's staff, she worked for an accounting firm in High Point, North Carolina, where she created Financial Statements and filed the appropriate tax forms for clients. Her varied experience ranges from Controller of a North Carolina Furniture Company and the fourth largest Law Firm in Houston, Texas, where she was General Accounting Supervisor with responsibility for eight (8) staff members. Patti managed their General Ledger, which included Trust Accounts for fifty-nine (59) Partners and expenses for one hundred fifty (150) attorneys. Before moving to North Carolina, she worked for Ergon Oil Company in Jackson, Mississippi. Her experience there brought her to the Treasury Department where she was responsible for Payroll for several divisions in multiple states as well as payments to the many investors’ with interest in hundreds of oil wells. She was promoted to Senior Auditor of the North Carolina Credit Union League audit team in September, 2005, and appointed as AVP in 2007. She is also a member in good standing of the North Carolina Society of Accountants. Patricia earned the Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Specialist designation from CUNA in 2008.

LaDawn joined NCCUL in 2006 after beginning her career in the accounting department at RTP Federal Credit Union. LaDawn says her goal on the audit team is to ensure that credit unions are in compliance with state and federal regulations, and to help them in their quest to succeed. LaDawn holds a B.S. degree in Accounting from UNC-Greensboro. LaDawn earned the Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Specialist designation from CUNA in 2008. She was promoted to the position of Senior Auditor in February 2010.
