Registration Continues For The 2013 Governmental Affairs Conference

There is still time to register to attend the 2013 Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) scheduled for February 24-28.  The GAC is the credit union movement’s premier political event.  The conference provides more than 4,000 credit union executives and board members an opportunity to hear influential leaders from Congress, the Administration and the federal regulatory agencies.

Brunstetter Pays A Visit to Truliant Federal Credit Union

In support of the credit union movement, State Senator Pete Brunstetter visited Truliant Federal Credit Union on November 16. He met with Truliant’s President and CEO Marcus Schaefer and toured Truliant’s Headquarters in Winston Salem.

Voter Registration Information & Key General Election Dates

Tuesday, November 6 is the date of the 2012 General Election. If you have not registered to vote, there is still time. The last day to register to vote in the General Election is Friday, October 12.

Mountain Credit Union and NC Credit Union League Host Voter Registration Drives

Beginning on August 29, and running through September 19, 2012, Mountain Credit Union, in partnership with the North Carolina Credit Union League, hosted voter registration drives in each of Mountain CU’s seven branches in Western North Carolina. Pam Melton from NCCUL’s office in Raleigh, NC was on location in each branch to assist in hosting these events.

League & Credit Unions Meet with Republican Candidates

Two Republican candidates for Congress, George Holding and Robert Pittenger, met with credit unions this week. Both secured the Republican nomination, Holding for the 13th District and Pittenger for the 9th District, and are likely to win in the General Election in November.
