The Piedmont Chapter is pleased to announce that Congressman Larry Kissell will be on hand for the chapter celebration of International Credit Union Day on Thursday evening, October 18. Kissell, a Democrat who is locked in a tough re-election battle for a third term representing the 8th District, is a strong credit union supporter.
"Congressman Kissell has been such a great advocate for credit unions on a variety of issues," noted NCCUL SVP of Association Services, Dan Schline. "It's terrific that he will be able to meet with the chapter on a day where credit unions reflect on their history and impact in NC and throughout the world."
In addition to Kissell, the chapter will welcome Comedian David Ferrell at the meeting, which will be held at the Lowe's Motor Speedway north of Charlotte. Reservations for this meeting are being accepted through Monday, October 15 - individual reservations are $39.
