Greetings from Raleigh! The NC Credit Union League is pleased to present the League Minute for November 2013.
The League exists to help credit unions succeed. We want to partner with credit unions in NC, support you and help you in any way that we can. To that end, here are three things that we’re working on at the League to help credit unions.
1. Trainer’s Roundtable - On Thursday, December 5 Allegacy FCU will host the last NCCUL Trainer’s Roundtable for the year. This event will feature a phenomenal line up including, “Credit Union Principles and Philosophy; Learn it to Live it” presented by Ashley Ruffin and Michael Spink of Local Government FCU. Also, “Service Standards” - a panel representing 6 credit unions in NC will share their service standards design, implementation and execution. Service is at the heart of the credit union movement – don’t miss out on this discussion that will provide best practices and takeaways galore. All levels of staff are invited to this event, since all credit unions can benefit from the information provided. The meeting agenda and registration info is available here.
2. League Consolidation Update –The consolidation of the North & South Carolina Credit Union Leagues continues. As part of the process, 3rd Degree Advertising was retained to provide a comprehensive brand for the new Carolinas CU League. Much of their feedback is based on a survey that credit unions in both states answered. Thank you for providing your feedback so that we can build a League that continues to bring credit unions great value! If you have any questions about the consolidation process, please call or email John Radebaugh, Eric Gelly or Dan Schline.
3. 2014 Governmental Affairs Conference - The 2014 CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference in Washington, DC will be held February 23–27. This signature conference for advocacy will gather thousands of your peers from February 23-27 to demonstrate political strength, join in industry updates, and work together toward legislative priorities, regulatory clarity, and success for each of us and our members.
In addition to this being the credit union movement’s premier political event, the conference will be the first gathering of the new Carolinas Credit Union League! For conference details, please contact any member of the League’s Governmental Affairs team.
