Mountain Credit Union recently started sharing member success stories on its Facebook page. These success stories are employee accounts showing how the credit union was able to meet the needs of a member in an unusual or difficult situation.
The following account comes from Sarah Davis, a Mountain employee in the Cherokee Branch.
"I had a long time member come in and he was concerned he was going to have to give us a vehicle back. This was a very good member, had always had good credit, but had a vehicle and unsecured loan of his own and had done another auto loan to help his granddaughter. She was no longer helping him pay for the vehicle, and he was scared he could not keep making the payments for her. So, I appraised his vehicle he had with us, saw that it had equity in it and was able to payoff the unsecured loan, the granddaughter's auto loan that he was so concerned with, and saved him $655.00 a month. He was so excited he almost cried. He shook my hand, said God Bless you, and was so happy!" -- Sarah Davis.
