SECU Volunteers from Hoke and Northampton Counties Receive Prestigious State Award

Dr. Robert A. Nelson of Hoke County and Dr. Al Wentzy of Northampton County, were recently awarded the prestigious Order of the Long Leaf Pine --- the highest civilian honor that can be granted in the State of North Carolina. The presentations were made by SECU Board Chair McKinley Wooten during the Credit Union’s Annual Membership Meeting in October.

Leatra White is now branch manager at the main Central Ave. branch, and Jennifer Jarrell is branch manager at the Matthews branch. Andrea Jordan is assistant manager at the Central Ave. branch.

SECU Foundation Receives NC Museum of History Foundation’s Inaugural Corporate Philanthropy Award

During a November 13th event held at the NC Museum of History in Raleigh, the NC Museum of History Foundation announced the SECU Foundation as the recipient of its inaugural 2012 Corporate Philanthropy Award. The award recognizes individuals and organizations for outstanding contributions to the preservation, study or understanding of North Carolina history and also honors exceptional commitment, service and support to history museums or related sites.

Latino Credit Union Launches New Website with Member Video Testimonials and Online Knowledge Center

Latino Community Credit Union (LCCU) recently launched its new user-friendly website which includes the newly released Latino Credit Union Chronicles, a series of member testimonial videos, and an all new online Knowledge Center which features an interactive bilingual financial education module.
