News from the CCUF: Coastal FCU CEO Chuck Purvis Elected to Foundation Board

The Carolinas Credit Union Foundation Board of Directors elected Chuck Purvis to fill a recent vacancy at their meeting on February 20, 2013.Mr. Purvis is also the former Chairman of the National Credit Union Foundation. He was a member of the Board of NCUF from 1995 to 2007.

Charlotte Metro Credit Union Offers Financial Literacy Lessons to Local Men and Women in Transition

Once a month, CMCU Branch Manager Malinda Mertz teaches a group of men and women crucial skills they’ll need to be financially self-sufficient. Participants in Mertz’s “How to Spend, How to Borrow, How to Save” class may have lost a job or their home, been through a divorce, suffered from spousal abuse or they may be transitioning from homelessness.
