Beginning on August 29, 2012, the North Carolina Credit Union League, in partnership with Mountain Credit Union, will host voter registration drives in each of Mountain CU’s seven branches. Pam Melton from NCCUL will be in each branch to assist in hosting these events.
Voter registration forms can be made available so that citizens can register to vote, preregister 16-17 year olds to vote, change party affiliation and change address and/or name on current voter registrations.
The Mountain Credit Union Voter Registration Drives will be held August 29, 2012 at the following credit union locations:
- 746 East Main Street, Franklin, NC – 8:30 am - 11:30 am
- 30 Highway 107, Sylva, NC – 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Registration Drives will be held August 30, 2012 at the following credit union locations:
- 375 Sequoyah Trail, Cherokee – 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
Registration Drives will be held September 18, 2012 at the following credit union locations:
- 1453 Sand Hill Rd, Candler - 8:30 am - 11:30 am
- 721 N. Main Street, Waynesville - 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Registration Drives will be held September 19, 2012 at the following credit union locations:
- 219 Haywood Street, Asheville - 8:30 am - 11:30 am
- 5010 Hendersonville Rd, Fletcher - 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
This voter registration drive is open to the public. You don’t need to be member of Mountain Credit Union in order to obtain a voter registration form. Times are subject to change.
The North Carolina General Election is Tuesday, November 6, 2012. The last day to register to vote is Friday, October 12, 2012.
