Jennifer Balkcom has been named Business Development Manager at United Federal Credit Union in Asheville, N.C. In her new role, Balkcom will recruit and qualify Corporate Members and support community and UFCU activities to ensure the achievement of corporate growth goals.
Balkcom was previously assistant branch manager at UFCU in Fletcher, N.C. There she provided supervision to the branch staff, including coaching and leadership, scheduling, daily operations, and Member communications. Balkcom has held positions with a variety of financial institutions in the North Carolina region, including Mountain 1st Bank & Trust, Bank of America, and Mountain Bank/Carolina First/TD Bank.
A native of Hendersonville, N.C., Balkcom is pursuing a degree in business administration from Blue Ridge Community College in Flat Rock, N.C. She is a 4-H Honor Lifetime Member and volunteer, a team leader for Relay for Life, March of Dimes, and United Way, and is an active Breast Cancer Foundation fundraiser.
