ElecTel Cooperative Federal Credit Union offered a one-day loan promotion to members last week. For one day only, on Friday the 13th, members of Electel Cooperative were able to get a personal loan for 13 months at only 1.3% APR.
Nancy Long, CEO of Electel Cooperative FCU set a goal of loaning $200,000 to members during the one day loan promotion. “The total dollars loaned were almost double our original goal” Long said. Just over $325,000 was loaned out during the “Lucky Loan” promotion on Friday the 13th.
