Local Government Federal Credit Union (LGFCU) proudly announces the appointment of Kellie Blue to its Board of Directors. Blue, the finance director for Robeson County, was appointed to fill the seat left vacant by the retirement of Director Emeritus Frances Efird.
Blue resides in Pembroke, N.C. and has been an LGFCU member since 2006, serving on their volunteer Advisory Council the entire time. She is also one of the nominees the Board selected for appointment for the 2013-16 term. This election will take place at the credit union’s annual meeting on April 26.
“With such a strong background in both finance and local government, we are very pleased to have Kellie join our Board,” said LGFCU President Maurice Smith. “She is joining a team that has demonstrated its ability to move us forward and grow during difficult financial times, all while keeping the best interests of the credit union’s members in mind.”
