Truliant FCU Announces Merger with Virginia CU Approved

New River Valley Truck Plant Federal Credit Union’s members have approved a merger with Truliant Federal Credit Union. The merger extends additional affordable financial services to employees of the Volvo truck manufacturing facility in Dublin, VA and their family members. The New River Valley Truck Plant FCU had more than $2.4 million in assets and served more than 900 members.

The NRV credit union merger proposal cited reasons for the merger, which included; Truliant’s similar culture, presence in the area, and their offering of a full suite of products, services and convenience channels to best serve their member-owners.

NRV credit union members will be able to take advantage of services that Truliant offers including online banking, a full-service call center, credit cards, free ATMs and a variety of loans. “We are pleased to continue to serve these members and maintain the relationship that has been established over the years,” said Marc Schaefer, CEO of Truliant. “We look forward to helping these members build stronger financial futures to enhance their lives.” Truliant maintains a branch and ATM a few miles from the NRV Truck Plant FCU at 7321 Peppers Ferry Blvd. in Radford.
