On September 11, 2001, our nation was forever changed. As a tribute to the victims of 9/11 and those who rose in service, the staff and members of Champion Credit Union have pledged to stand together and make a difference in the lives of others in the community. Employees proudly displayed their “I Will” statements – declarations of actions that they will take to make an impact on someone else. These statements varied from “I Will spend time with my children” to “I Will thank a veteran.” Throughout the day, members of Champion Credit Union joined in, proudly making their own “I Will” statements. “We strive to be a staple in the communities that we serve. We have an opportunity to set an example to our members and to each other and show that even the smallest actions can make a difference in the lives of others,” says Mike Clayton, President of Champion Credit Union. The employees also met at the flag pole and observed a moment of silence at 8:46 am, the time that the first plane struck the North Tower.
