The NC Credit Union League is pleased to announce that Pam Melton has joined the organization as the Director of Political Affairs. Melton comes to the NCCUL from CenturyLink in Raleigh.
Melton brings more than 16 years of governmental affairs experience to her role at the League. Melton has extensive experience in the key roles of PAC fundraising and grassroots advocacy, including management of a 32-state political action committee.
As part of her diverse role with the League, Melton will formulate strategy aimed at engaging credit unions and credit union advocates in various aspects of the political process. She also is tasked with helping to strengthen relationships with elected officials and candidates on the state and federal level.
"It’s such an exciting time for credit unions so I’m truly happy to be a part of the credit union family," Melton said. "I welcome all opportunities in my role to continue the efforts of strengthening us politically. I’m also truly looking forward to getting to know each of you!"
