Marine Federal Credit Union’s President/CEO, Craig Chamberlin, received North Carolina’s prestigious Order of The Long Leaf Pine. This honor is presented to individuals who have a proven record of extraordinary service to the state of North Carolina. Contributions to their communities, extra effort in their careers, and many years of service to their organizations are some of the guidelines by which recipients are selected for this award.

Whether from charitable organizations in need of resources to weather related catastrophes, Chamberlin oversees Marine FCU’s involvement in supporting its communities, along with ensuring that the sacrifices of the wounded and fallen military and their families are never forgotten nor their needs unmet, particularly with regard to the short and long-term care of the severely injured.

A great leader with a heart, Chamberlin has always embraced the family environment, allowing time off for family members with returning military members and hiring active duty family members and retiring military to ensure focus remains on serving military members. He has also supported pay raises every year since becoming the President/CEO. Not one employee has lost his/her job at Marine FCU due to economic challenges.

“Craig Chamberlin has a sustained record of leadership in the credit union movement, and remarkable dedication to the staff and members of Marine FCU," said NCCUL President/CEO John Radebaugh. "The League congratulates Craig on this prestigious and well-deserved award that recognizes his integrity and commitment to excellence.”
