As Save to Win Gets Closer to Rollout in NC, Program Gets Praise in Two Articles

Posted on July 19, 2012

Save to Win, the prize based savings program that promotes savings among credit union members, is months away from rolling out in North Carolina! With a rollout target of January 2013 in the Tar Heel State, Save to Win is gaining momentum and interest from credit unions.

“The League will soon be meeting with interested credit unions to share more about the program and how it can help members,” said Eric Gelly, NCCUL’s EVP/COO. “The experience Michigan has had with Save to Win points to a program that promotes savings among people of modest means, and is very popular.”

As the League continues recruiting credit union partners, the Save to Win concept earned positive coverage in two publications. The Association Executives of North Carolina’s Success by Association magazine featured the history of the program and the ongoing effort to bring it to NC in the group’s magazine. Meanwhile, Carl Rist, the executive director for The Corporation for Enterprise Development, authored a piece for NC Policy Watch praising the Save to Win program as a possible solution in an article that spotlights the overall lack of savings among everyday North Carolinians.
