The NC Department of Public Instruction and the NC Jump$tart Coalition will present a one-day Financial Literacy Summit for K-12 teachers on June 22, 2012. Attendance is Free!
This summit is designed to help teachers prepare students to develop financially sound ways of thinking and problem-solving in their everyday lives and to become knowledgeable consumers, prudent savers, and informed investors. The event will be hosted by East Carolina University and is open to teachers from all content areas.
Speakers are needed for this summit that will provide information, training, materials and resources to help teachers promote financial literacy in their classrooms. Sessions that support teachers in their own personal finances will also be included. If your credit union is interested in participating as a speaker, please complete the following form.
