The North Carolina Credit Union League will partner with the North Carolina Association of Electric Cooperatives to hold a Campaign Academy. The Campaign Academy’s goal is to help political candidates learn more about organizing and running campaigns.
Instructors and campaign finance specialists will provide insight into organizing and running legal and effective campaigns by offering real-world campaign experience.
This is a non-partisan effort, open to all potential candidates, first-time candidates or experienced candidates wanting additional knowledge.
The Academy will cover a broad range of essential campaign topics, which include:
- Effective fundraising
- State campaign finance laws
- Campaign communications
- The cost of a campaign
- Grassroots campaigning
The training sessions will be held in Hickory on January 31, Fayetteville on February 1, and Rocky Mount on February 2. The cost is $30 per person.
