What is a Credit Union?
Credit unions are not-for-profit financial cooperatives dedicated to improving members' lives. More than 86 million people are members of credit unions nationwide. Money the credit union makes is returned to members in the form of better rates and services. As a member of a credit union, you have an ownership interest in the credit union. Credit unions are the only democratically-controlled financial institutions in the United States.
Credit unions are not for profit, not for charity, but for service.
