North Carolina is working to become a partner in the America Saves Campaign (an initiative by the Consumer Federation of America), by implementing North Carolina Saves.  NC Saves is coordinated by a statewide coalition of nonprofit, corporate, and government groups that is chaired by State Treasurer Richard Moore. The coalition works together to help individuals and families save and build wealth. Through information, advice, and encouragement, we assist those who wish to pay down debt, build an emergency fund, save for a home, save for an education, or save for retirement. 

The League is working with the NC Treasurer's office to enroll Credit Unions as participating financial institutions. As a participating institution, Credit Unions will be able to enroll NC Savers at their Branch Offices while at the same time adding to the many ways in which they serve their communities.
