The Carolinas Credit Union Foundation, in conjunction with the National Credit Union Foundation and the World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU), has activated the CUAid disaster relief system www.cuaid.coop to raise funds to assist credit union employees, volunteers and members in Haiti impacted by the devastating earthquake.

According to WOCCU, there is an active credit union movement in Haiti made up of 175 credit unions serving 404,090 members. The donations raised via CUAid will be disbursed in Haiti via the World Council of Credit Unions. WOCCU has a project in Haiti with staff on site amid the chaos. 100% of all donations received via CUAid will go directly to those in need.
