In the wake of the financial crisis and the greedy actions of some banks, credit unions have been basking in the glow of positive press here in NC and throughout the country. As a result, more and more consumers are using the Internet to search for credit unions they may be able to join.

One of the more popular search portals for credit unions nationwide is Find A Credit Union (www.findacreditunion.com), which recorded more than 100,000 site visits in the first six months of 2010! All affiliated credit unions in NC may be listed on Find A Credit Union at no charge, but credit unions are responsible for keeping their charter and SEG information current on the site to ensure that all eligible members who search the site will be able to find you.
